Introducing Build Legal Tech

I'm Gaby Isturiz, a pioneer in the legal tech industry with over two decades of experience. I have founded and led two high-growth legal tech companies, both of which were successfully acquired by Fortune 500 companies—Thomson Reuters and Roper Technologies (Aderant). With a passion for entrepreneurship and a deep knowledge of the legal tech landscape, I’ve been part of the evolution of the industry, and I’m now focused on nurturing the next generation of tech leaders through my latest initiative, Build Legal Tech.

Legal tech might not be the most glamorous industry, but it's one with immense potential for innovation and growth. I speak from experience, having turned my entrepreneurial passion into reality - not once, but twice. Throughout my journey, I've faced numerous challenges and made my fair share of mistakes, but each experience has strengthened my resolve and expertise.

Today, I'm in a position where I can share my knowledge, experience, and lessons learned so you don’t have to learn the hard way. I believe that a legal tech startup can be engineered for success from the very beginning. However, it requires a deep understanding and experience in the multiple disciplines involved in building a company in the professional services vertical, including fundraising, product development, go-to-market strategies, your first hires, creating your sales organization, the right operational structure, understanding each different stage of growth, and hitting your revenue metrics to achieve the multiples you need and align for a successful liquidity event.

Although there has never been a better time to become a founder, with so many good resources, guides, frameworks, podcasts, accelerators, tools, and incubators offering great general advice, my goal is to distill and package all nuances, complexities, tips, and tricks when building a professional services startup, starting with legal tech.

That's why I created Build Legal Tech - to offer a single, dedicated resource to help the next generation of legal tech and professional tech entrepreneurs. Our mission is to provide you with a go-to resource for building effective companies, securing funding, accelerating your GTM strategy, scaling revenues, customer success motions, and achieving profitability and successful exits.
